Mandatory training is now required for all guardians. A six-hour course, Fundamentals of
Adult Guardianship, is required to be completed before or within six months of
In addition, in each succeeding year following, guardians are required to complete a
three-hour continuing education course.
Courses may be taken in a facilitator-led setting, in a computer-broadcast setting or
online from one’s own computer. More information regarding these mandatory trainings

work together to stamp out school truancy, drug and alcohol use, and other behavior problems.
These groups are especially designed for parents or guardians of strong-willed children, ages 12-18!
